My name is Jackson Lichtenstein and I am a multimedia artist. I make paintings, photographs, screen prints, and sculptures.

I grew up in New York City and graduated from Oberlin College '23 with a degree in Studio Art.​

 

One of the goals of my work is to create connections between otherwise disparate forms, ideas and people. This is embodied most directly in my founding of the Egg Solution. A social - political organization dedicated to empowering the community of New York City. Egg solution happenings typically involve open and spontaneous painting in local NYC parks where participants are encouraged to paint and speak freely while defacing repurposed computer and television screens.

Through my independent practice I am constantly seeking new forms of expression, hoping to push internal boundaries as well those of technique and technology.

I am just beginning to explore the intersections of photography, painting, printmaking, and the ever evolving digital programs that are upending these forms. Please stay tuned. I'm so excited to share more of my progress!
